Nemesis

In Greek myth, Nemesis, daughter of Nyx (Night), punished those insolent to the gods, and so she was the god of vengeance and retribution. Like Fortune, she may stand on a wheel or globe and have a scourge hanging from her girdle. In Durer's engraving Nemesis, she is shown naked, holding a bridle in one hand for the undisciplined and a cup in the other with which to reward the virtuous.

This may make me sound like a nerd (as if the entry above doesn't make me sound like one already), but I suddenly noticed that I've been playing my DS a lot lately. >_>;; Sadly, though I tried to resist it, I bought the new Pokemon Pearl version only a few weeks ago (on June 23, I think...). I know. It's a bit late on bandwagon for the Pokemon thing. I kept telling myself the feeling would pass, but I couldn't resist seeing what the new game would be like and... Well, I got all seven Eeveelutions in two days... (I would have gotten them all in one day, but I had to wait for nighttime to pass and turn into day so I could get my Espeon. <_<;; ) If you want my friend code, just ask for it and I'll send it to you in a note (remember, I play the Pearl version... if that information is valuable in any way ).

And if that isn't bad enough, you know that game Guitar Hero? Now, a few of you are probably going to want to hit me for what I'm about to type down next, but until a few days ago, I never even PLAYED the game.

... Yeah, I know. You see, for those of you who know me well, you know that when I was around nine or ten years old, I took three guitar lessons before saying "Screw this, I'm drawing!!" and thus, I guess this is one of the reasons I stayed away from Guitar Hero. That, and my suck-age at being able to coordinate my fingers on an actual guitar properly. >_>;; But, last week, my friend invited me to come with her family on a mini-vacation to a lake to see a parade, and stupid me, I agreed to go. (The event was only an hour or so away from where we live). After canoeing in the lake and seeing the parade, I hung out at her house for a while and, of course, what does she suggest we play to pass the time? Yup! Guitar Hero II.

I tried telling her how sucky my hand coordination is and I also told her the guitar lesson story I just informed you all of in the beginning of the above paragraph, but... she got me to play anyway. XD But since I was a beginner and never even played the game up until that point, she put it on an easy song. I got... 79% Yeah... However, she then played "Thunderhorse" while it was set on Expert since I so "valiantly" gathered up my "courage" from the bottom of my shoe and played, so all in all, it wasn't SO bad. Unfortunately, when I was playing, and here comes the bad part...

... I had fun. And despite my apparent suck-age, now I want to own the game so I can play it privately. XD Ah well, my birthday is coming up and it's just a plastic controller and not a real guitar, so I shouldn't be in too much trouble... though I'll probably still suck.

Okay, self-esteem issues on my inability to play a plastic controller that resembles an instrument I failed at playing many years ago aside, I have a message for my friends who also play in Subeta.
